80 kilos of cocaine seized at Baldwin Park home; resident arrested
A Baldwin Park man was to be arraigned Wednesday after investigators found 80 kilos of cocaine in his home and a large amount of cash.
Juan Perez, 23, is being charged with possession of a controlled substance for sale, according to a Covina police report.
The case against Perez began in October, when Covina police received information of suspicious activity in area houses. Their investigation led them to a house in Baldwin Park, which they placed under surveillance, according to the report.
On Monday, investigators spotted Perez leaving and pulled him over on a traffic stop. They then searched his home and found the drugs and money, according to the report.
He was being held at West Covina Superior Court in lieu of $2 million bail, according to the report.
