A man fatally shot in the head in a South Los Angeles drive-by shooting believed to be gang-related was identified Thursday.

Michael Douver, 21 of Los Angeles, was shot about 3 p.m. Wednesday as he and another man rode mini-bikes near 84th Place and Normandie Avenue. A shooter in a green Ford Taurus pulled up to the riders and fired at both men.

Douver was pronounced dead at 3:29 p.m. at California Hospital, said Assistant L.A. County Coroner Ed Winter.

The second victim, also in his 20s, was wounded and taken to Centinela Hospital, where he was in stable condition Thursday, said Wendy Reyes, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles Police Department.

There are two suspects in the case, Reyes said, and the investigation was continuing.
