Southbound 710 reopens after morning fatal crash

All southbound lanes of the 710 Freeway just north of the 105 Freeway in Lynwood shut down for about an hour this morning following a fatal crash, police said.

A man driving a silver Toyota SUV hit the center divider at 4:37 a.m. and died, said California Highway Patrol Officer Ed Jacobs. No other details were available, and Jacobs said it was not clear what caused the collision.

At 6:30 a.m., no traffic delays were reported.
