Prince Harry arrives in Southern California for helicopter training

Wire5_lsp5t1p7Britain's Prince Harry has arrived at the U.S. Naval Air Facility in El Centro for two months of helicopter training.

Harry, a.k.a. Capt. Harry Wales of the British Army Air Corps, is part of a unit training at El Centro and the Gila Bend (Arizona) Auxiliary Air Force Base.

The 27-year-old prince flies the Apache helicopter and has deployed to Afghanistan.

Harry and his comrades will fire missiles, rockets and cannons from the Apaches.

The harsh desert environment is similar to that of Afghanistan, where Harry may soon return.

Harry is third in line for the British crown, behind his father and older brother.
