October 26, 2011 |  7:40 am

Brea police arrested a man Wednesday morning in connection with a double homicide at a Yorba Linda home.

Audio: Sgt. Jim Griffin, Brea Police Dept.
Lt. Darrin Devereux of the Brea Police Department -- which provides police services for Yorba Linda -- said officers responded to a 911 call from a man reporting a bang and strange noises coming from a house at 4251 Trix Circle, near Imperial Highway and Bastanchury Road, about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.

When officers arrived, they found a pool of blood in front of the house, Devereux said.

From the backyard, they saw the body of a man and a woman lying inside the house, and when they entered they discovered the two were dead, police said.

Devereux said detectives stopped a man in a car shortly after 6 a.m. and arrested him in connection with the homicides.

He declined to say what the man’s connection was to the victims or how the two people died.
