Navy SEAL from Coronado dies in motorcycle crash in Bali

A Navy SEAL from a Coronado-based unit, on leave from deployment to Afghanistan, has been killed in a motorcycle accident in Bali, Indonesia, the Pentagon announced Friday.

Chief Petty Officer Michael Tatham, 33, of University Place, Washington, died Wednesday. He had served in Iraq and Afghanistan and received a Bronze Star with a Combat V for valor.

Capt. Collin Green, commander of the Coronado-based Naval Special Warfare Group One, said Tatham was the “epitome of professionalism, and his humble and selfless service to our country made him a role model for all."
