LAPD motorcycle officer injured in Valley crash

Crash Some streets were closed Thursday morning in Panorama City after an LAPD motorcycle officer was injured when a driver made a left turn in front of him, police said.

The officer was eastbound on Roscoe Boulevard about 6:30 a.m. when the driver made the turn at Willis Avenue and they collided, said Sgt. Ron Alberca of the Los Angeles Police Department.

The unidentified officer was taken to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center with unknown injuries.

The driver did not appear to be hurt, Alberca said.

Roscoe was closed in both directions between Noble and Cedros avenues, and Willis was closed one block south of Roscoe, Alberca said.
