'Hannah Montana' actor Mitchel Musso arrested for alleged DUI

A 20-year-old actor who was featured on the “Hannah Montana” TV show was arrested for alleged drunk driving in Burbank, authorities said.

Mitchel Musso, who also appeared in the 2003 movie “Secondhand Lions” and is a musician, was arrested at about 3:45 a.m. Sunday near Buena Vista and Chandler streets after cruising past an accident scene, the La Canada Valley Sun reported.

"He drove through the intersection and failed to do what the officer instructed him to do," Burbank Sgt. Sean Kelley said.

Musso's blood-alcohol level was "well over" the legal limit of 0.08, Kelley said, adding that because of the actor's age, any alcohol in his system would be considered illegal.

Musso posted $5,000 bail and was released, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

The actor was the only person in the black 2007 Mercedes at the time of his arrest, Kelley said.

Musso played the role of Oliver Oken in "Hannah Montana" and appeared in other Disney Channel shows, including the animated series "Phineas and Ferb" and the reality program "PrankStars."
