Earthquake: 3.2 quake strikes near Blackhawk, east of Oakland

A shallow magnitude 3.2 earthquake was reported Wednesday afternoon three miles from Blackhawk, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 3:44 p.m. Pacific time at a depth of 5.0 miles.

According to the USGS, the epicenter was four miles from Diablo, five miles from Danville, 11 miles from Concord and 29 miles from San Francisco City Hall.

In the past 10 days, there have been two earthquakes magnitude 3.0 and greater centered nearby.
