A 30-year-old San Diego man was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of being the so-called Well-Dressed Bandit, who wore nice clothes while robbing 10 banks, authorities said.
Anthony Pernelle Burgress was arrested without incident, the FBI said.
The Well-Dressed Bandit is suspected of seven robberies in San Diego, two in Solana Beach and one in Escondido. In one of the robberies, he was seen leaving in a Mercedes-Benz or Lexus.
