California Gov. Jerry Brown is scheduled to sign a bill Tuesday with Anschutz Entertainment Group, the sponsor of legislation that would smooth the way for its construction of an NFL stadium in downtown Los Angeles.

Brown's invitation to the bill-signing ceremony says it is a "special event on creating jobs and revitalizing California's economy."

The ceremony is planned at the Los Angeles Convention Center, which would get a new West Hall as part of the stadium project. The stadium would be called Farmers Field.

Other community leaders who support the stadium bill have also been invited.
