Suspect in alleged Craigslist molestation may face trial

Mark Brosseau An Orange County judge is to decide Wednesday whether to try a 54-year-old Stanton man charged with engaging in sexual acts with a 14-year-old boy he met online.

Mark Aime Brosseau is charged with lewd acts on a child, contacting a child with the intent to commit lewd acts and meeting a child with the intent to engage in lewd conduct.

He is set for a preliminary hearing at the West Justice Center in Westminster.

Prosecutors claim Brosseau parked his pickup at the Bella Terra Mall in September 2010 and engaged in sexual conduct with a 14-year-old boy in the vehicle. He had met the alleged victim through Craigslist.

Huntington Beach Police Department officers saw the suspicious parked truck and when they checked inside, discovered Brosseau and the boy. Brosseau was partially undressed with his pants off, they said. He was arrested at the scene.
