Bomb scare near Kodak Theatre shuts down Hollywood Boulevard [Updated]

Bomb scare in front of Kodak Theater
Police have shut down a portion of Hollywood Boulevard after receiving reports of a suspicious truck with a large toolbox parked in front of the Kodak Theatre.

Los Angeles police officials said they have shut down Hollywood Boulevard between La Brea and Highland avenues as a precaution.

[Updated at 12:50 p.m.: Police said the scene has been cleared and the street has reopened.]

The bomb squad was called out shortly before noon. Police said it was unclear who the truck belongs to and why it was parked there.
