Small plane crashes into yard in Santa Monica

A light plane has crashed into a home near Santa Monica Airport, KTLA reported.

The plane went down about 2:30 p.m. into a home at 21st Street and Navy. There are reports of injuries, but it is not known if the injured parties were on the plane or in the house.

Santa Monica Police and Fire Department officials could not immediately be reached for comment. Santa Monica Airport acknowledged the incident but did not provide any details.
