See's Candies store robbed

See's Candies on Foothill Boulevard

A thief robbed a See's Candies store in La Canada Flintridge, getting away with an undisclosed amount of cash but no chocolate, police said Wednesday.

Neither of the two employees at the store in the 1100 block of Foothill Boulevard were injured in the Monday evening robbery, said Sgt. Ray Harley of the Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station.

A man described as 25  to 30 years old, about 6 feet and 190 pounds entered the shop with his hand concealed in his shirt sleeve and demanded cash, Harley told the Glendale News-Press.

Believing he had a weapon, the workers complied.

The man, dressed in a blue, long-sleeved shirt, blue jeans and a green baseball cap with white lettering, fled on foot down Verdugo Boulevard.

Harley said it was likely the suspect had a car that he parked near the store. Anyone with information may call the sheriff’s station at (818) 248-3464.
