Scratched car leads to fight with baseball bat, police say

Scott Two men were arrested near McCambridge Park in Burbank on Sunday night in connection with an alleged altercation with a baseball bat that began when one man allegedly scratched the side of another man’s car, police said.

About 11 p.m. Sunday, John Sibala, 24, was sitting in his car in front of his home on the 1200 block of Scott Road talking to his girlfriend when Gahren Moradian, 21, allegedly began scratching the side of the car, Burbank Police Sgt. Thor Merich told the Glendale News-Press.

“The victim gets out of the car and starts chasing the suspect,” he said. “The guy says he has a knife and the victim runs back toward his house, grabs a bat, jumps in the car and starts looking for [Moradian].”

Both men were arrested.
