Michael Jackson artwork to be donated to L.A. Children's Hospital

Michael Jackson
Michael Jackson's mother and his three children will present 13 pieces of art created by the late pop legend to Children's Hospital Los Angeles on Monday afternoon.

Artist Brett Livingstone-Strong, a close friend who Jackson once called a "modern-day Michelangelo," offered to donate the pieces to the hospital, hospital spokeswoman Lyndsay LaGree said. Some of the works are signed by Jackson.

The pieces will be unveiled by Katherine Jackson and the singer's three children –- Prince Michael, Paris and Blanket –- at a 2:30 p.m. ceremony at the hospital. Other members of the Jackson family will also be in attendance, along with Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, hospital CEO Richard Cordova and trustee Mary Hart.

The artwork will be installed throughout the hospital after an art board determines where the pieces should be displayed, LaGree said.
