Last-minute questions about Carmageddon? We have answers.

The Times will host two live video Web chats Thursday and Friday with officials overseeing the weekend closure of the 405 Freeway between the 10 and 101 freeways.

Carmageddon: Full coverage of the 405 freeway closure

On Thursday at noon, readers can pose questions to Los Angeles Police Cmdr. Andrew Smith and Doug Failing, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority's executive director of highway projects, who will discuss the logistics of the closure with Times Assistant City Editor Kimi Yoshino.

On Friday at 2:45 p.m., Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and Mike Barbour, Metro's director for the I-405 Sepulveda Pass widening project, will be on hand to answer readers' questions in a discussion moderated by Times transportation writer Ari Bloomekatz.

The chats will be broadcast on the latimes.com home page. To submit a question, readers can sign in here at noon Thursday and at 2:45 p.m. Friday
