Marine from Twentynine Palms killed in combat in Afghanistan
A Marine from the base at Twentynine Palms has been killed in combat in the Helmand province of Afghanistan, the Pentagon announced Tuesday.
Lance Cpl. Christopher Camero, 19, of Kailua Kona, Hawaii, died Friday of wounds suffered during combat July 6. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment at Twentynine Palms.
