Man vandalizes car as ex-girlfriend gives birth, police say

A Los Angeles man was arrested for vandalism while his ex-girlfriend was giving birth at Glendale Memorial Hospital.

Glendale police allege the man stomped on the woman's current boyfriend’s car and ripped the bumper off of it. Victor Solis, 18, was taken into custody about 11:40 p.m. Tuesday on suspicion of vandalism after he and a friend, Cristobal Gonzalez, allegedly went to Glendale Memorial Hospital to see his former girlfriend, according to police reports. Gonzalez, 21, was also arrested on suspicion of vandalism.

Police said the pair had a few beers before arriving at the hospital, where Solis allegedly claimed to be the baby’s father and demanded to see his ex-girlfriend, according to the Glendale News-Press.

The pair were asked to leave by hospital security. Outside the hospital, the pair reportedly took their anger out on the boyfriend’s Mitsubishi, which was parked in a hospital lot.
