Three shot at Pomona graduation party

Three people were shot and wounded, one critically, at a graduation party in Pomona on Saturday, authorities said.

The suspect, who remains at large, allegedly started shooting about 11 p.m. as he was “being escorted out of the party after causing a fight,” according to a news release from the Pomona Police Department.

Authorities arrived at 2165 Spencer St. and took Tomas Mejia of Pomona to the hospital in critical condition. Rancho Cucamonga resident Anthony Richmond, 20, was also taken the hospital, where he was listed in stable condition. Joshua Sotello, a 22-year-old West Covina man, was treated for his injuries and released.

Pomona resident Neyra Carrillo, 21, was also treated and released after the suspect allegedly punched her.
