Authorities seek man who molested boy in Pico Rivera bathroom

Molestation suspect Law enforcement authorities released a sketch Tuesday of a man suspected of molesting a 6-year-old boy in a bathroom at a Pico Rivera Park.

The molestation occurred shortly after 2:30 p.m. Saturday while the boy was in a restroom stall at Rio Hondo Park, where he had come for a soccer game, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said.

The boy told his mother and pointed out the man, who was seen fleeing in a white van with a license plate that started with 6J, authorities said.

Witnesses described the man as white, in his 30s, a little over 6 feet tall and about 200 pounds. He has blond hair, blue eyes and  a mustache and goatee and was wearing a dark basketball jersey and dark basketball shorts, the Sheriff's Department said.

Anyone with information is asked to call detectives at (877) 710-5273. Anonymous tips can be left at (800) 222-8477.
