One dead, three injured in Compton shooting

Murd One man is dead and three others injured after a Sunday afternoon shooting in Compton, authorities said.

Homicide detectives were combing the 15700 block of South Haskin Avenue looking for clues, said Deputy Benjamin Grubb of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Grubb said the victims have not yet been identified but were taken to the hospital where one of them was pronounced dead. The others have injuries that are not life-threatening, he said.

Authorities were notified of the shooting at 2:26 p.m.  They did not know whether more than one shooter was involved.
