Motorists advised to avoid area near East LA. brush fire scene
Authorities are advising motorists to avoid City Terrace Drive and North Marianna Avenue in East Los Angeles after a brush fire burned 10 acres Tuesday afternoon.
The blaze, which broke out about 12:30 p.m., was contained by Los Angeles County firefighters after briefly threatening structures near a grass-and-shrub-covered hillside, officials said.
Roads in the area were closed as crews mopped up hot spots. Motorists are advised to use the 710 Freeway as an alternate route in the area.
