Fullerton man allegedly raped housekeeper he found on Craigslist

Delgado, Michael A Fullerton man was in custody Monday on suspicion of raping a housekeeper he found on Craigslist, police said.

Michael Delgado, 27, was arrested Friday on suspicion of rape, rape with a foreign object, false imprisonment and assault, said Sgt. Andrew Goodrich of the Fullerton Police Department.

Delgado allegedly found his victim in the Craigslist "Maid" section and contacted her by email to clean his apartment.

The woman arrived at Delgado's apartment complex at 8 a.m. Friday, and Delgado opened several doors to get the victim in his unit, Goodrich said.

Once inside the apartment, the victim tried to leave, but Delgado would not let her go, police said.

He raped and sexually assaulted the woman for over an hour, then allegedly walked her out of the complex, Goodrich said. The victim asked a passerby to call police.
