Drive-by shooting in Watts wounds four

Four people were shot outside a party in Watts Saturday night in what police believe to be a gang-related drive-by shooting.

Two cars pulled up in front of a residence on the 9600 block of Hickory Street in Watts shortly before midnight, police said. Shots were fired from the vehicles and two men were hit in the stomach, a third suffered grazing wounds and a woman was struck in the her leg. All of the victims were in their late teens or early 20s and were in stable condition Sunday, said Sgt. Matt Cundiff of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Southeast Station.

Witnesses gave only generic descriptions of the cars: one was black and the other, green.
