Woman shot in downtown San Diego dies; husband arrested
A 57-year-old woman shot in the head Saturday in downtown San Diego has died, according to the San Diego County medical examiner.
Deborah Gotell was shot after an argument with a companion while walking downtown, police said. Her husband, Joseph Gotell, 83, was arrested and is set for arraignment on Wednesday.
Witnesses said the suspect pulled a gun and fired several times. Joseph Gotell was arrested minutes later without resistance.
