Police identify Oceanside teenagers shot to death in park

Two teenagers who were fatally shot in Libby Lake Park earlier this week were identified Thursday, Oceanside police said.

The victims were identified as Fernando Felix Solano, 16, and Sandra Salgado, 14, both of Oceanside, police said. No arrests have been made. 

Police were dispatched to the neighborhood about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday to investigate possible gunshots and found the victims’ bodies in the 400 block of Calle Montecito, authorities said.

Anyone with information about the shootings is asked to call police at (760) 435-4910.  The public can also call San Diego Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477. San Diego Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information in the case that leads to an arrest.
