Tujunga man arrested for allegedly shooting cousin to death while driving on freeway

May 11, 2011 |  9:45 am

A Tujunga man was in custody Wednesday for allegedly shooting and killing his cousin while driving on the 210 Freeway in La Crescenta, authorities said.

The body of the victim, 33-year-old Adine Arzumanyan, was pushed out of the car and left on the freeway after last month's shooting, said officials with the L.A. County Sheriff's Department.

Her cousin, Aram Sarukhanyan, 27, allegedly drove on but was stopped by authorities a short time later, suffering from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, officials said.

Sarukhanyan was arrested on suspicion of murder Tuesday after his release from the hospital.

Information on a possible motive was not immediately available. The investigation is ongoing.
