Search for gunman near L.A. Trade Tech comes up empty

Sheriff's deputies ended their search Monday for a reported gunman near L.A. Trade Tech after an extensive but fruitless search around the campus.

Deputies searched for about an hour in the 23rd Street and Grand Avenue area for a potential gunman after a bystander flagged down deputies to report having seen a man with a weapon.

Deputies removed barricades and police cars that had been set up to block several streets around the college just south of downtown Los Angeles.
