Police searching for gunman who robbed Hollywood liquor store and shot clerk

Los Angeles police are searching for an armed robber who held up a liquor store and wounded a clerk Monday morning, authorities said.

The robber entered the store at the corner of Hollywood and Winona boulevards at approximately 8:20 a.m., authorities said, and subsequently shot the clerk in the arm. The clerk was taken to a local hospital and was listed in stable condition.

Officers and detectives are still searching for the gunman, who is believed to live in the area.
