1 dead, 1 injured in tour-bus crash in Pomona

One person was killed and another critically injured when a vehicle crashed into a tour bus in Pomona.

Both victims were in the vehicle that collided with the bus at 8:33 a.m. Thursday on East San Bernardino Avenue at North Towne Avenue, just south of the 10 Freeway, said Matt Levesque, an inspector with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

The person who died, whose name had yet been released, was declared dead at the scene. The other person was being treated at a trauma center.

No one from the tour bus was injured. Fire officials had no information on whether the tour bus was carrying passengers at the time.

The cause of the crash was being investigated by the Pomona Police Department.
