Man robs El Torito restaurant of $4,000

Burbank Burbank police continue to search for a man who stole $4,000 at gunpoint from El Torito after possibly entering through the roof.

Around 2 a.m. May 21, the suspect entered the restaurant at 3113 W. Olive Ave. with a handgun, around two hours after the bar inside had closed.

The man, who was about 5 feet 9 inches tall and wore sunglasses and a black ski mask, threatened two managers who were still in the restaurant and ordered them to open the office that contained the safe, according to police.

Once inside the office, the suspect forced the employees to put roughly $4,000 into a black bag.
