Lindsay Lohan considers theft plea, 'wants to get all this behind her,' source says
Lindsay Lohan would like to plead no contest to charges that she stole a necklace from a Venice jewelry store, according to a source knowledgable about the case.
The source, who is familiar with Lohan's thinking but spoke on the condition of anonymity, said the actress wants "to get this all behind her and move forward in a positive and productive way" and that a no-contest plea "would be consistent with that."
Last month, Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner reduced the charge in the case from a felony to a misdemeanor, a move that could significantly reduce the amount of time Lohan would spend behind bars if convicted. The judge said she thought the reduction of the charge was justified and that it occurs all the time in less high-profile cases.
Lohan's next court hearing is scheduled for May 11. Any plea deal would most likely coincide with or would be before that court date, the source said, stressing that things could always change.
Sautner ruled that Lohan violated her probation by taking a necklace at a Venice jewelry store and sentenced her to 120 days in jail.
Lohan also was ordered to perform 480 hours of community service at a downtown women's center and the Los Angeles County morgue.

Lindsay is also the subject of a lawsuit charging during 2010 she took $ 170,000.00 worth of designer clothes from a West Hollywood boutique and then refused to pay for them.
She is also the subject of a civil suit charging that she hijacked a SUV with 3 passengers in 2007 and took it on a drunken high-speed ride.
So pleading guilty, excuse me, no contest to stealing a $ 2500.00 necklace is hardly "putting all this behind" her.

May 11th is my 77th birthday. What a great "present" for me if she get's some jail time also.

Pleading no contest may be the best way for Lindsay to get her life back. Giving The State their pound of flesh will end this persecution and give her a chance to get some meaningful work.

Is that what you do at age 77 Sandy Castor? Wish and hope for the destruction of young shiksas? What a louse you are. Have fun you twisted old man. I for one hope Lohan works things out. All young people who have gone astray should be given that chance. I think I will pray for her salvation to illustrate the beauty of the Christian faith.

George, I think the only thing you're illustrating is the Christian uptight mentality, and how do you know Sandy is a man? Props to him/her for staying in touch with pop culture and being vocal on the internet, lol....my parents are 20 years younger than that and hardly know how to use it, haha.
Besides, George, this particular "young person" has had ample opportunity to turn things around and does nothing but continue to put herself and others in danger. She deserves to be behind bars where society, and she, will be safe from her behavior.
