LAPD officer falls from his motorcyle in traffic accident

A Los Angeles police officer fell from his motorcycle Tuesday when he was cut off in traffic.

The accident occurred near Crenshaw and Martin Luther King boulevards in South Los Angeles around 1 p.m.

Investigators say the officer was conscious and breathing following the incident but was taken to a hospital for treatment. The officer was heading to South Bureau Traffic Division at the time.
