May 29, 2011 | 10:30 am

Crime reports are up significantly for the latest week in 22 L.A. neighborhoods, according to an analysis of LAPD data by the Los Angeles Times’ Crime L.A. database.

Twelve neighborhoods reported a significant increase in violent crime. Palms (A) was the most unusual, recording seven reports compared with a weekly average of 1.6 over the last three months.

Toluca Lake (M) topped the list of 12 neighborhoods with property-crime alerts. It recorded eight property crimes compared with its weekly average of 2.8 over the last three months.

Two neighborhoods triggered alerts for both violent and property crime.

Alerts are based on an analysis of crime reports for May 18–24, the most recent seven days for which data are available.
