Crime reports are up significantly for the latest week in 19 L.A. neighborhoods, according to an analysis of LAPD data by the Los Angeles Times’ Crime L.A. database.

Ten neighborhoods reported a significant increase in violent crime. West Los Angeles (A) was the most unusual, recording three reports compared with a weekly average of 0.4 over the last three months.

Toluca Lake (K) topped the list of 13 neighborhoods with property crime alerts. It recorded nine property crimes compared with its weekly average of 2.7 over the last three months.

Four neighborhoods triggered alerts for both violent and property crime.

Alerts are based on an analysis of crime reports for May 17–May 23, the most recent seven days for which data are available.
