Crime alerts for Mount Washington, Harvard Park and 13 other L.A. neighborhoods
Crime reports are up significantly for the latest week in 15 L.A. neighborhoods, according to an analysis of LAPD data by the Los Angeles Times’ Crime L.A. database.
Nine neighborhoods reported a significant increase in violent crime. Mount Washington (A) was the most unusual, recording three reports compared with a weekly average of 0.5 over the last three months.
Harvard Park (J) topped the list of seven neighborhoods with property-crime alerts. It recorded 13 property crimes compared with its weekly average of 5.8 over the last three months.
One neighborhood triggered alerts for both violent and property crime.
Alerts are based on an analysis of crime reports for May 7–13, the most recent seven days for which data are available.
