D.A. won't press charges against man arrested in alleged rape at ArcLight Hollywood parking garage

May 5, 2011 |  4:00 pm

The Los Angeles County district attorney's office announced that it would not file charges against a 23-year-old man arrested in the alleged rape of a woman last weekend in the parking garage of the ArcLight movie theater in Hollywood.

Chris Cardoza was arrested Tuesday by Los Angeles police detectives at his Reseda workplace in connection with the assault. But prosecutors said there was not enough evidence to move forward with a case and declined to file charges.

LAPD investigators initially believed the woman was sexually assaulted by several people. The victim later said she was attacked by one man after she got separated from friends early Sunday.
