Neo-Nazi father shot to death by young son, police say

Jeffhall

Riverside Police say an avowed white supremacist who once ran for a water board post was shot to death in his home by an unlikely suspect: his own young son.

Jeff Russell Hall, 32, was southwestern regional director of the National Socialist Movement, a neo-Nazi group based in Detroit. Police were called to his home at 4:04 a.m. Sunday and found a badly injured Hall lying on a couch, said Lt. Ed Blevins.

Paramedics attempted to revive Hall, but he died at the scene, Blevins said. After interviewing Hall's wife and five children, police booked a minor son on a homicide charge, he said.

"We believe it was an intentional act,'' Blevins said.

The boy, whose age was not given because he is a minor, was booked into Riverside County Juvenile Hall. Riverside County prosecutors are reviewing the case, Blevins said.

Hall's other children were taken into protective custody, he said. A neighbor told the Press-Enterprise that all of the couple's children are under the age of 12.

Hall, a plumber, gained attention last year in his failed attempt to win a seat on an obscure water board in Riverside. His campaign was low profile, but Hall was open about his white-supremacist beliefs when questioned.

"I want a white nation," he told The Times last year. "I don't hide what I am, and I don't water that down."

As regional director of the National Socialist Movement, Hall helped lead demonstrations in Riverside and Los Angeles, where supporters waved swastika flags, chanted "white power" and gave stiff-armed Nazi salutes.

Hall also helped organize militia-type watches along the California and Arizona borders, with camouflage-clad volunteers on the lookout for illegal border crossers. On the National Socialist Movement website, group founder Jeff Schoep calls Hall a family man and a "dedicated American Patriot."

Blevins said a rifle and handgun were recovered from the home. It appears that Hall died of a single gunshot wound to the chest ,but an autopsy is pending, Blevins said.

I want a white nation too! Oh wait, thats pretty much what we already have...

You know i was going to write something hateful and that the world is better of without a neo-nazi,this is a sad tragedy for that family because the hand of a son killed his father who gave him life. Maybe the other children will look at the hate the father espoused and realise that there is a better way of living.Hopefully the mom will realize that the hate you espouse about others will eat you alive. If you are a Christian pray for this family!

Farethewell.

Bin Laden and this piece of racist trash, both on the same Sunday. Perhaps, if there is a God, he/she is trying to send a message to the haters of the world.

Nice family.

The old saying---"You live by the sword--you die by the sword. " was never more appropriate than in this case. The only tragedy is what it does to his child that shot him.

Looks like "white power" isn't powerful enough to stop a bullet.

There has to be a reason why this young child took the life of his father, was it to protect his mother, was it to protect his siblings, or could it be in the wrong/right, black/white absolute mind of a young child did his see an evilness there that he saw having no place in this world. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. My prayers go out to this family.

Anytime a life is loss its a tragedy, I understand he was a hateful person but God can forgive we should do the same..

We live in Arizona. I am for legal immigration. I do have my own opinions that are aligned with our current Govorner

I am done looking for reasonable and smart libs...so far they are really not too bright. Anyone have any thoughts on what Obama will try and do with the current immigration What's the consensus overall, thanks.

that poor child to be driven to something so viscious. i can't help but feel the man deserved it, though. No one should preach hate.

The kid should be sentenced according to how much violence his father let him witness thus inherit, and if he can prove it. Regardless if the dad was a outcast racist leader, his dad deserved a good whopping. Not a bullet, no one deserves to be shot unless you are being shot at. Throw the book at him.

He wanted to be separate, how does that equate to the generalisation of racists all hate. If a woman does not want to have sex with you is that hate now? He had the right to have racial separation as his goal as much as others can have racial intergration as a goal. Forcing your belief on him is just rude and the ego maniacs should show respect.
