David Beckham involved in Torrance car crash

Soccer star David Beckham was involved in a car crash on the 405 Freeway Friday morning in Torrance, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Beckham did not appear to be injured from the crash, but the other driver was hospitalized.

According to CHP, the accident occurred Friday about 9:15 a.m., when Beckham, 36, who was driving a black 2009 Cadillac, rear-ended a stalled Mitsubishi vehicle in the carpool lane on the southbound 405 Freeway, south of Artesia Boulevard.

The owner of the other vehicle was taken to Little Company of Mary Medical Center in Torrance as a precaution.

Neither party was cited nor arrested.
