Officials identify man killed by Santa Monica police during domestic dispute

Authorities on Thursday identified the man who was fatally shot a day earlier by police in Santa Monica after stabbing his ex-girlfriend.

The Los Angeles County coroner’s office identified the man as Frank Walter Johnson, a 59-year-old transient.

Santa Monica police shot Johnson on Wednesday evening as he was stabbing a woman reported to be his former girlfriend. Johnson had apparently climbed into her apartment through a window.

Police arrived while the stabbing was in progress and shot Johnson four times. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The woman, who has not been identified, remains hospitalized.

I remember Frank from George Washington Carver Middle School. He always wore white socks and was constantly chewing pistachio nuts, even though they weren't fashionable at the time. He also made snorting noises with his nose. In fact, he had developed (or perhaps inherited from his parents) the ability to blow his nose without using a Kleenex, one nostril at a time, and could do this while running across the playground. Besides chewing pistachio nuts and spitting the shells all over the place, Frank was constantly snapping his fingers. Do you have any idea how distracting that is during a test?

Frank,

I hope you are at peace now!!!! You will truly be missed by me and "Spooky".. I hate this had to happen to you, you were such a good friend to my family... My prayers go out to you and your family......

Why do Christians automatically consider heterosexuals to be more moral than homosexuals? What kind of perverse logic is that? Why don't the churches spend millions of dollars to stop abuse of women and children?
