Reported shooting near LAX prompts emergency response

At least one person has been taken to the hospital after reports of a shooting near the Renaissance Los Angeles Airport Hotel at 96th Street and Belford Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Reports of multiple shots being fired were received at 12:29 p.m., according to LAFD spokesman Brian Humphrey. The location of the incident is about five blocks east of Los Angeles International Airport.
