The man, Mariano Antonio Castro, 56, Santa Ana, was charged Thursday with a variety of felony counts of continuous sexual abuse and lewd acts on a child under 14. He is being held on $1-million bail and faces more than 30 years in prison if convicted.

According to a statement by the Orange County district attorney's office, the victim was abused between 2000-08 when she was 8 to 17 years old.

"When Jane Doe was 11 years old, Castro is accused of impregnating her. Jane Doe gave birth to a baby girl at the age of 12," prosecutors said in the statement. "Jane Doe kept the baby. Despite the pregnancy, the ongoing sexual abuse of Jane Doe was never reported to law enforcement."

Her story came out only recently, officials said. "Jane Doe recently began going to a new church and confided in her pastor that Castro had impregnated her as a child," they said.

Not only should the stepfather serve prision time but the child's mother should also for not coming forth with this information...
I can't believe how stupid people can be when it come to protecting their own children

Why did the hospital staff, nurses or the doctors NOT report this case to the authority? She was twelve years old for god sake. Makes me sick!! The hospital I work for has a policy to have a social worker involved in any under-age pregnancy/delivery.

OMG...this is just horrible...where are her parents? Story makes no mention of them...did this mo0nster have sole custody of her? More people should be charged as well for keeping their mouths shut and not doing anything for this poor girl

Burn in hell you scumbag!

the rest of the story:.... parents feared deportation and never reported what they suspected all along...
who provided obstetric care? was she in school?

Wheres DCS when a 12 year old can go to a hospital an have a baby?

WOW so the family knew this was going on and did nothing, you wonder how many more pedifiles are in this family

Many times in Mexico, this is okay.

Where were the parents and teachers, neighbors , hospital, doctors on and on. convict me if I turned a blinds eye to this atrocity

kill him

Rape is rape regardless of age of the female.

Where the hell were her parents!!!! Who knows who else that man may have harmed. I'm so grateful for her bravery in finally coming forward, with the help of her clergy, and I hope she gets the help she needs to overcome this terrible abuse. And I hope this man gets all he deserves, the extent of which should span he rest of his life! MONSTER

throw this maggot to the bottom of the ocean.

Castrate Castro.

zero posts? moderation controllers all fell asleep or called in sick.

This is totally sick. I can't even image the type of life that baby girl would have.

Her parents should also be prosecuted for failing to protect her. I suppose someone will make the excuse that it's a "cultural thing".

If that baby's DNA matches his, should be automatic death penalty. Not in 20 yrs, immediately!!

Where the h--- was her mother in all this?

I thought what you say to your pastor is confidential??

But this guy is total scum.... why house him in jail... Just Shoot Him!

Fry this guy. What is wrong with people doing such an un thinkable act. Release him in the prison's general population for real justice.

Where the hell were her parents during this time....they ought to go to jail too as should Aunts, Uncles, Grandparents, etc. An entire family cannot be that stupid!!!!!!!!

Animal. Who does that to kids? Put him somewhere and lose the key.

Sad for this little girl. This is statutory rape not molestation as she gave birth to a baby at 12 years old. Where was anyone to save her from this monster? I hope they throw the key away and may he never ever see daylight or freedom. This one is going straight to hell!

I hope he spends the rest of his life in jail. As for her parents for not protecting her parents they should be charge to. May God help her find peace.
