LAX-area shooting may involve 3 perpetrators, police say

April 16, 2011 |  3:50 pm

There may have been three people involved in the shooting that killed one and injured another near the Renaissance Los Angeles Airport Hotel, Los Angeles Police Sgt. Dennis Beacham said.

The perpetrators may have fled on foot, he said. There was no description of them.

The victims' vehicle, a black cherry Cadillac, was parked along the curb between an empty apartment complex and a parking structure owned by the Renaissance Hotel.

Residents living in nearby apartments said they heard up to eight gunshots. Most said this was the first time a shooting had occurred in their area.
