L.A. tagger Revok arrested at LAX
Revok, one of Los Angeles' best known graffiti writers, was arrested as he prepared to board a plane to Ireland at Los Angeles International Airport, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department reported.
Jason Williams, a.k.a. Revok, was taken into custody Thursday for an outstanding arrest warrant for failing to pay restitution, according to sheriff's Capt. Mike Parker.
Authorities claim Revok is a member of the graffiti crew Mad Society Kings, or MSK. Officials from the sheriff's department were notified that there was an outstanding warrant against Revok for failure to repay victims of previous vandalism incidents.
That led to his arrest, officials said.
Revok is being held in the Los Angeles County Jail in lieu of $320,000 bail.

"Jason Williams aka 'Revok,' was taken into custody Thursday for an outstanding arrest warrant for failing to pay reinstiitution, according to Sheriff's Capt Mike Parker."
Is "reinstiitution" paying for a copy editor? If it is, then I think the Los Angeles Times is also guilty of this crime.

Graffiti writer? Don't you mean vandal, or defacer of private property? A graffiti writer is someone who creates on HIS OWN property, not the property of others.

@Anon Y Mouse, wow, you must be the life of the party. God knows every party needs a huge pedant to talk endlessly about typos.

Someone should go tag MOCA with some "ART'. Let's see how understanding they are when their building is defaced.

Loser-Kook-poser. Destroy other property and won't man up for it. Spray vandals are acting out like a 5 year old. Grow up.

What are you doing about it Al Martin? Nothing right? Let Revok do his business, he hasn't caught an illegal wall since the last time he was arrested. And besides he is part of MOCA's "Art in the Streets" exhibit he is getting paid for his "vandalism" in high-brow art musuem.

$320,000 bail? That's just stupid. And irresponsible. The cable network "Versus" has spray painted ads all over the sidewalks of Melrose Ave. Does the LAPD give (or the latimes for that matter) give a hoot?

I've seen Revok's work and it is the same, tired, over-muscular crap we see all over the freeways. Throw the book at him!

@Ben, it wasn't a typographical error, it was a misspelling.

All his victims should get to spray paint on him..then he has to let it dry. Then other victims should get to sand blast the paint of of him. What a complete idjit.

How convenient of them to arrest an artist commissioned for his work at MOCA. I'm so glad my taxes are being put to bad use, while other real criminals are out selling drugs, murdering people, and corrupting authority.

As long as we're so worried about spelling here, would you guys says his exit privileges were "revoked", or "revokd"?

Some taggers painted up my friend's building. It wasn't artistic and not authorized. It cost him a fortune to get it cleaned up.
There is a place to do these things. The city of LA is not a open canvas. I can't understand why people see this idiot as a hero. Imagine if you woke up one morning and saw someone the cost you hundreds of thousands of dollars painted on with non-sensical messages.
Let that idiot spend time in prison and see how he likes getting beat up daily by his fellow inmates.

This made my day! On top of the big bail money he obviously can't come up with, and on top of all the damage he's done to private property over the years that he now has to face the judge over, he got nailed just as he was boarding a plane to Ireland. I doubt he'll get a refund from Aer Lingus on that ticket, and whatever business he had in Ireland is now hugely disrupted.
Awesome work LA County Sherrifs. Justice is served on societies cretins once in awhile.
I wonder what the county jail serves inmates on Easter Sunday?

I wonder if he already paid his $25 to check his bag. Ouch.

Restitution? Some "art lovers" will cough it up.
Give him a wire brush and a dust mask and let him clean up his mess; good riddance to the foreign country of his choice when the cleanup is done.
