Major League Baseball takes over financial control of the Dodgers
Major League Baseball Commissioner Bud Selig announced Wednesday that his office will assume control of the financial operations of the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The move comes after a tumultuous month in which Dodgers owner Frank McCourt needed a personal loan from Fox in order to meet the team's payroll.
The organization -- and McCourt -- also have been under withering criticism following the near-fatal beating of a San Francisco Giants fan on opening day of the season.

It's about time. it is obvious mccourt is a phony and never should have been allowed to own the dodgers.

Let's hope Selig forces the stinking carpetbagger McCourt to sell the team.
