Crime alerts for Hollywood Hills West, Silver Lake and six other L.A. neighborhoods
Crime reports are up significantly for the latest week in eight L.A. neighborhoods, according to an analysis of LAPD data by the Los Angeles Times’ Crime L.A. database.
Five neighborhoods reported a significant increase in violent crime. Hollywood Hills West (A) was the most unusual, recording three reports compared with a weekly average of 0.8 over the last three months.
Silver Lake (F) topped the list of three neighborhoods with property-crime alerts. It recorded 25 property crimes compared with its weekly average of 14.2 over the last three months.
Alerts are based on an analysis of crime reports for April 6–12, the most recent seven days for which data are available.

Call the sheriffs in, they will cut crime. Infact much of the hollywood hills area near west hollywood, the citizens call the sheriffs. Thus the area is much safer..
Just fact, sheriffs tend to police areas better than police department. Ask around!!!!!
