April 1, 2011 |  8:26 am

Crime reports are up significantly for the latest week in 14 L.A. neighborhoods, according to an analysis of LAPD data by the Los Angeles Times’ Crime L.A. database.

Seven neighborhoods reported a significant increase in violent crime. Lake View Terrace (A) was the most unusual, recording three reports compared with a weekly average of 0.5 over the last three months.

Jefferson Park (H) topped the list of nine neighborhoods with property crime alerts. It recorded 18 property crimes compared with its weekly average of 6.8 over the last three months.

Two neighborhoods triggered alerts for both violent and property crime.

Alerts are based on an analysis of crime reports for March 21–27, the most recent seven days for which data are available.
