Jury in Barry Bonds perjury trial concludes second day of deliberations without verdict
The jurors in the Barry Bonds perjury trial deliberated a second day Monday without a verdict after reviewing testimony by a witness who said she saw Bonds’ personal trainer inject him in the navel.
The panel of eight women and four men listened attentively to a reading of the testimony of Kathy Hoskins, who has known Bonds since childhood and shopped for his clothing from 2001 to 2003.
Hoskins testified that she saw Greg Anderson, Bonds’ personal trainer, inject him in the navel in the 2002 season while she was packing Bonds’ clothes for a road trip. The jury heard evidence that human growth hormone is generally injected in the abdomen.
Bonds, 46, has remained at the courthouse with family and friends while the jury has been out. He is charged with lying to a grand jury in 2003 when he said he did not knowingly take steroids or human growth hormones and when he denied that Anderson had ever injected him.
Federal sentencing guidelines recommend 15 to 21 months for each of the four counts against Bonds — three charges of making false statements and one of obstruction of justice.

It's a sham. It's time the courts stop allowing, jailhouse informants, maids and others without conclusive evidence to destroy others reputation. Bonds, may or may not have used the drugs, but the system needs more than one person sayin your guilty.

I think, simply stated, the jury was a bit confused. All in all, a complete waste of time and money. Barry Bonds is a complete tool, always will be, but the government pretty much bested him in the tool department this time. All this over 'roids and a ballgame, and yet none of the financial masters who destroyed the economy can be bothered. Nice country.
